I'd ordered a different bag from the same company, which I love! But for travel, it was hard, bulky, and the straps pinched. But I still love it.
I had more travel to do, and thought I'd try this. So many zippers and compartments!!! And it's soft. My concern is zipper durability. They move a bit rough, but I may try the old candle wax trick. I carried two laptops, and with the thick shoulder band, was relatively pain free. It stowed nicely, no pinching of my arms with the handles. I thought it very sturdy and roomy.
It does stand by itself when there's stuff in it. Not the best, but the more that's in there, the easier it stands.
As for smell... Omg... Like real leather, no odd chemical smells. Yum!
I think this will out last me if I do a treatment on the zippers or don't get impatient. They are sturdy, but a not so glide able.
It comes nicely packaged, along with a storage bag when not in use for a while.
I'm pleased with purchase and have had several compliments, (which isn't the purpose of a bag).

The previous bag I purchased from this company looks more like a purse, less like a computer bag. But I'd suggest spending the extra money on the comfort of this bag.

I have to carry documents from building to building and to and from meetings and file folders, books, laptop, notebooks can all be carried with ease. I am able to snap my work keys right inside so they don’t get stuck at the bottom and I have to dig for them. It is very well put together and comes very well padded and protected. I have had many compliments. The feet on the bottom help when having to set on the floor next to my desk and doesn’t leave scuff marks. The inside is made of fine fabric that will withstand the ages of time and throughout my career. Very dapper and professional. Well worth the money, you will not be disappointed!

I’d been searching for a while for a laptop handbag that had enough compartments but also had a sleek design. After 6 months, I found this leather briefcase and fell in love. It’s sturdy enough to stand on its own, has several compartments and pockets to separate stuff, and holds a 15.5 inch laptop in the middle with padding. The leather feels and looks great. I like that it has the shoulder strap (not leather but a nicer version of a seatbelt like material). It was more expensive than I would like but I know it’s going to last a long time. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is making the inner pockets bigger so they can hold more stuff as they’re pretty tight.
